Now that Jake got the boot from Dancing with the Stars, next on the Bachelor line-up is the May 24th premiere of The Bachelorette.
Have you guys seen the new trailer for the show? Check it out here. If your husband isn't screaming at Game 7 of the National Hockey League playoffs as the Washington Capitals plays Montreal, maybe you will be able to hear it:

Sarah and Charlie Split
People.com announced that former Bachelor Charlie O'Connell has split with his cute little blonde lady friend Sarah Brice that he chose from his season. As you may recall, these two started out strong, but broke up because Charlie had a drinking problem. Then they got back together and have been interviewed a couple of times in the more recent Bachelor reunions shows (including Jason and Molly's wedding). You may also recall that in their 3 minute interview, Sarah was saying that she won't move in with him until she's engaged and Charlie's response was - "He's almost ready to think about that..." or something like that. Red flags all the way. They have been together for 5 years on and off - what exactly was there left to learn about each other that he didn't know?? Commitment phobe, all the way. Sarah is adorable and seems very down to earth - I wish her well.

A Crazy Summer of Bachelors and Bachelorettes Coming Up...
With the brink of summer upon us, I hope you all are enjoying this quite restful period between the end of last season's Bachelor and the upcoming Bachelorette season. I consider this my "off season" but soon enough, I will be kicking it up into high gear.
For all of you who don't know, The Bachelorette, starring the blonde Ali F, begins Monday, May 24th. Rumor has it, she has been filming throughout New York City, but nobody that I know has seen her. And once that season is over, ABC has come up with another way to keep its ratings throughout the summer. "The Bachelor Pad," is coming out August 9th and will consist of 20 former Bachelors and Bachelorettes coming back to get a "second chance" at love. Rumor has that there will be competitions set up where these individuals will participate in scenarios based on previous events that took place during their seasons. I have no idea what this means, but it should be somewhat amusing. Chris Harrison is hosting this most likely disaster of a show.
As for the current season of DWTS, I have to admit that I have not been watching this season. My mother and sister call me each week to tell me whatever it is that Jake is up to. My sister was particularly confused a couple of weeks ago when Jake performed in his underwear and a button down shirt. I explained that Tom Cruise/Risky Business connection that he was trying to invoke, but she just thought he looked particularly feminine. I can understand this opinion, but you've got to admit it takes guts to perform in your underwear on national TV.
Apologies that I have been somewhat MIA over the past few weeks. Today is our 6 week anniversary, and I have been working hard at the following: (1) my regular day job which has picked up quite a bit since I was gone for the wedding/honeymoon, (2) rebranding this blog, to make it appealing to a wider audience, (3) writing thank you cards from the wedding (we have had a debate as to whether it is still relevant to have to write thank you cards, whether you can email a thank you, or whether anybody really cares if you send a thank you card or not. I say you have to still write them. The Husband thinks that nobody cares) and (4) supporting The Husband's insane addiction to the Washington Capitals' playoff season.
I hope you can forgive me. We are off to play floor hockey shortly. 9 PM games also make it very difficult to get much writing done. But this week, I'm buckling down. There's way too much going on in the world that needs to be written about. More on the new blog to come...

Help Me Name My New WebSite
Hello to all of you creative and funny types! Now that the Bachelor is over, my wedding is over and we've got until late May until Ali takes on 25 young guns, I have decided to finally launch my writing to a larger crowd. Not to worry, my Bachelor blogging will still continue in full force - but I think you will enjoy the rest of the blog as well. It will contain updates on things that happen to me/The Husband every day (from the very annoying, to the very strange, to the very funny...and everything in between). There will also be reviews of other TV shows and books. The Husband will get his own section within the website to write about whatever he wants. And of course, our podcasts will continue in full force.
I have already received a few suggestions, but would love your help in brainstorming what the heck to name this thing? What can easily sum up what this website is about, be catchy and still go well with ".com" after it?
You will get a HUGE thank you and my eternal gratitude (I'll even give you front row seats to my first book signing if that ever happens).
Now let's see how creative you all are out there...please post suggested website names in the Comment Section.
To inspire you, I am posting a picture of the sunset where we went on our honeymoon in Antigua. It's called Galley Bay resort. If you like beautiful beaches, wondeful food, playing ping pong and doing absolutely nothing...this is the place for you.
On a side note, a HUGE thank you to The Husband for helping me get through my post-wedding blues this past week. In the last 24 hours, I have lost my work ID, my iPhone and my mind - surely a symptom of my depression after enjoying two of the best weeks of my life. Turning our dining room table into a ping pong table has certainly eased things up a bit!!
