AKON SIGNS WIZ KID, TUFACE AND P SQUARE



Senegalese-American rapper and founder of Konvict Musiclabel has signed three Nigerian acts to his label.
Akon signed to his label, Tuface Idibia, Wizkid and theP-Square duo of Peter and Paul Okoye.
While the signing has not been officially announced the newKonvict stars have been listed on Akon’s website.
The news has not been officially confirmed yet because theyare not yet listed on Konvict Music website and Akon or the artistes are yet tomake formal announcement.
The  Smack Thatrapper also tweeted: “In Nigeria with my brothers about to take over Africawith @2faceidibia and @wizkidayo Big up to Psquare.”

DBANJ AND 2FACE BAG BET AWARD


Nigerian musicians D Banj and 2 Face Idibia won the BET Award for the Best International Act: Africa in Sunday’s ceremony held at the Shrine Auditorium.

TRACKING AMANI IN CHICAGO



Kenya’s own superstar Amani is now in Chicago, she left the country over the weekend to join the other members of the Pan-African super group ONE8, a group set to revolutionize music in Africa. The One8 project is a coming-together of some of African best musical talent.



Amani is one of the artistes chosen for the super group along with Nigeria’s talented superstar TuFace Idibia, Ugandan hip hop artist Navio, Zambia’s biggest super star JK, Tanzanian heartthrob Ali Kiba, Ghanaian trio 4x4, Gabonese duo Movaizhaleine and DRC’s hot sensation Fally Ipupa.
The power and excitement around this collective of African stars is so big that ONE8 will be not only be joined by one of the biggest global megastars and icons in music for its first single and video, about to be recorded in Chicago, USA, but this superstar, who’s played a crucial role in defining R&B and Hip-Hop as we know it, will produce the song and video together with some of the biggest names in music and music video production in the world today. It is taking centre stage on this project and working hand-in-hand and as equals with the Chicago based international megastar and his team who are very excited to be working with such amazing talent.
