The celebrity press world was abuzz today with Emily Maynard officially confirming that her relationship with Brad is over. This is not a surprise - the two barely made it to the After the Final Rose show together. Still, it's sad given that Brad being The Bachelor for the third time is impossible and Chantal already has a boyfriend. It's sad for Emily only because of her sad story, however, I'm sure this woman will have her pick of the litter. Men are probably lining up at her front door to take her out. And if that's not the case, then she may be the most highly anticipated Bachelorette of all time. Let's face it, any Bachelorette after Ashley will be an improvement. If Emily agrees to be the next in line, we can skip The Bachelor season and go straight into Emily. Who would you rather watch? One of Ashley's duds be the next Bachelor or Emily find true love??? That's what I thought!
Chris Harrison's interview of Emily Maynard will air on July 11th. Get excited, because that will definitely be the highlight of The Bachelorette that night! Chris's interview of Emily is certainly a last ditch effort by The Bachelorette producers to draw viewers back. And poor Ashley still can't get out from Emily's shadow. Has any other season needed an unexpected interview from Chris Harrison of a prior season's contestant? No. If anything, these check-ins with former contestants happen on The Women Tell All or After the Final Rose episodes. Not the case here. With only 6 men left, Ashley's seasons should be building momentum, but with guys like Lucas and Constantine left, this just ain't exciting. Compare Brad's top 6 women (Emily, Chantal, Ashley, Michelle, Shawntel and Britt) versus Ashley's top 6 (JP, Ben F, Lucas, Ryan P, Constantine and Ames). No question who I'd rather watch.
