How Much Money Would You Accept for Humiliation?

According to Us Magazine.com, the cost is about $30,000.  This is completely unconfirmed, but there have always been questions as to how much dough these contestants get for being on the show.  The going rate for a "desirable" Bachelor/Bachelorette is $100K, according the article.  But Ashley only received $30K.  I'm not sure if this is actually true - because in reality ABC chose her, so why shouldn't they pay her what everyone else is making?  What's an extra 70K to them?  But what a slap in the face if it is true - as Jason and Molly Mesnick received 30K just to televise their wedding.  I have no idea what the contestants competing for these Bachelors/Bachelorettes make, but I'm sure it's something for their time and trouble.  Not to mention - free housing, food, and trips around the world.

Yikes. 

Regardless, what is everyone doing for 4th of July weekend? The Husband and I are doing a VERY quick trip to the place we got married - Puerto Rico!!  It's off season there so there are good deals to be found - but unfortunately the weather report calls for showers all weekend.  Boo!  Ok, off to work to what promises to be a (hopefully) quiet day in the office.
