LIQUIDEEP FOR BLANKETS AND WINE

South African house music duo Liquideep are set to perform in Nairobi atthe Blankets and Wine show, December 18.

The South African duo is made up ofsinger/songwriter/producer Ziyon and DJ/producer Ryzor, and just two yearsafter their formation they caught the attention of the South African fans withthe track Fairytale.

Their list of awards includes Channel O Music Video Awardfor Most Gifted Dance Video and received a SAMA nomination for Song Of TheYear.

Liquideep’s appeal could be put down to the originality oftheir culture clash between African beat and an awareness of what works on theglobe’s dancefloors. But it’s also down to their ability to craft sweet andmemorable songs.

Before their smash breakout debut album the distinctiveLiquideep beats had already attracted remixes from big internationalunderground names.

The duo joins other big stars who have performed at theSunday afternoon event like Thandiswa Mazwai, Manou Gallo, Mafikizolo andOliver Mtukudzi.

The afternoon event features outstanding afro-based bandsthat range from afro soul, afro-fusion, afro-jazz, ethnic, experimental andother emerging genres.
