She's happily anticipating the birth of her second daughter.

And Amanda Holden's friends made the wait a bit more interesting today as they threw her a surprise baby shower.

The thankful 40-year-old, who is about seven months pregnant, beamed as she left the pink-themed celebration at London's Soho Hotel.


Carrying balloons and a yellow box that was bound to be holding delicious treats, Amanda hopped into a waiting car which had a boot full of presents for the former Britain's Got Talent Judge and her upcoming arrival.

Pregnancy seems to suit the blonde, who still looked tiny, her bump barely visible in a black lace dress and stockings.

And despite carrying a bit of extra weight, Amanda wasn't without her towering heels.

Earlier, she said of her five-year-old daughter: 'Lexi's first question of the day " Mama, when the baby comes out will you play Twister!!" Ouch!'

The new baby will be a blessing for Amanda, who is married to record producer Chris Hughes, after their son was stillborn in February.

She previously suffered a miscarriage in May last year.

Amanda announced she was pregnant with a girl in August.
