Brad & Emily Rumors: Don't Believe Them

In the post-Bachelor frenzy that's taken hold globally, some absolutely ridiculous rumors have come out which need to be discussed, and quickly clarified. I want to address them, because I am 100% Team BrEmily and hope they can work it all out! Here they are in no particular order:

Rumor #1: There was a 911 call involving Brad and he's in the hospital or there's some dark, gross secret behind all of this involving his "temper."

True or False: FALSE.  Brad and Chad (love these twins' names) were out in Austin together yesterday and Brad spotted someone in a park near his home having a panic attack.  Brad called 911 and waited with the panicked person while an ambulance came. You've got to wonder if maybe the person had a panic attack from seeing Brad Womack (and twin) in the living flesh. This certainly would have sent me over the edge.  Remind me to fake a panic attack if I ever see Brad.  Here's an article on it [Brad Womack is a real knight in shining armor].

Rumor #2: Emily is dating someone who owns a car dealership in her hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina

True or False: FALSE.  The source of this was In Touch Weekly, so take it for what it's worth. I think they also reported that Emily's story that she was engaged to Ricky Hendrick was made up.  They seem to have something against poor Em.  Plus, I love that they had to throw in that she's dating someone related to the automobile industry, like her former fiance. So ridiculous.  I don't believe this for a second.

Rumor #3: Brad is going to be the Bachelor for the third time.

True or False: FALSE.  Chris Harrison has confirmed at least twice in interviews (at least one of which I particpated in) that there is no way that Brad will be a Bachelor for the third time.  First off, he's still with Emily and so is not eligible.  Second, I think everyone can agree this guy has certainly had his chance to get it right.  Third, if things don't go out with Emily, there is about a 99.9% chance Chantal would give him another shot and end things with her current man.

Some good news: Emily was spotted wearing her beautiful engagement ring (Hooray!) when she arrived at the airport in Charlotte last Thursday.  Hip hip hooray!! They're still together!!  See this pic taken at the airport -she looks a little like Heidi Montag, but the natural, prettier version.

On a side note, I could not bring myself to watch the entire episode of Dancing With the Stars. In fact, I found it so unwatchable, that I ended up switching to 90210 half way through.  My distaste for this season was officially confirmed when Wendi Williams started crying in rehearsals.  What on earth does this woman have to cry about? She's a wife, mother and TV talk show host with a side gig of free dance lessons on national TV.  Cry me a river.  Of course 90210 was so bad, that I opted to watch a rerun of last week's Jersey Shore and a episode of Skins, Season 4 (the UK version, the US version is horrendous) on DVD.  The funny part about Jersey Shore is that we couldn't at first figure out whether it was new or a re-run, and what season it was because the part we saw was another fight between Ronnie and Sammi - and they are all the same.

On another side note, my SWF (Scottish Work Friend) goes on maternity leave at the end of this week. I am thrilled for her, but very very sad she is going, as she is one of the only people who will humor my Bachelor talk in the office (actually, it is not often that I will engage anyone in conversation about this show in the office for fear of destroying my professional reputation).  Her last day is my birthday (Friday), and I wish her very well.  This will make the waiting period until Ashley's premiere as Bachelorette particularly horrific. 

Anyhow, I hope this has clarified some of the burning questions going on in rumorville.  If Brad and Emily are reading this, I am wishing you well and rooting for you to make it!
