What Just Happened At End of Bachelor Pad 2 Episode??

I'm confused.  Chris Harrison calls out "Kasey," and the screen fades to black.  What the hell does this mean? Did my DVR break? Then they torture us with a shot of Jeff the Mask guy doing solo synchronized swimming in the mansion's pool.  We didn't get to see the reactions, whether Jake does in fact take people down with him, whether Kasey punches him in the face, whether Vienna gets to give a creepy smile as her ex fiance becomes a distant memory on Bachelor Pad 2.  But here's what I think happened.

My heart was actually beating faster waiting for Chris to announce whether Kasey or Jake stays or goes.  Why on earth I care about this decision, I have no idea.  But I'm all worked up now.  Awaiting this death stare match and all the horrible things Jake is thinking and Kasey is saying about Jake - and finally, we get down to the final rose.  At that exact second, Chris says, "Kasey." So Kasey does get the final rose and Jake is out.  And they only want to keep us wanting more.  Which at this point after watching the complete shock of my life (aka Erica the Princess making out with Jake), I kind of do want more.  OMG, such horrid things happening on this show.  Why did I get emotional watching Michael Stagliano put his arm around Holly as they listen to Bret Michaels sing "Every Rose Has Its Thorn?"  And why can I not turn away from watching Melissa have a complete meltdown at the drop of a hat.  She's like matches and a spark and all you have to do is blow on her and she'd cry - poor thing.  I don't think she can even blame the alcohol at this point.

Ok, more on this tomorrow - I need to digest all of this madness before providing any more commentary.  I am kind of sad to see Jake go - not because I enjoy the Jake vs. Vienna vs. Kasey drama - more because I want to was hoping to understand what the hell he was trying to say to Kasey tonight other than that they both might be going home and things were awkward and how far he'd be willing to take it with Erica to secure his spot in the mansion another week.  At least we have Erica and Melissa for another week.  And yes, I love that Michelle is the reasonable one this time around.  Although she's buddied up with Melissa and Vienna, so not sure how normal that can be.  Though her crush on Graham is cute.

I was joking to The Husband earlier in the episode that I really hoped that Kasey would sing (I remember all too clearly his attempts at singing to Ali during one of their dates and it sticks with me to this day).  And low and behold - my wish was granted as he gives a promise ring and a song to his beloved Vienna.  Boy was that horrendous.  Can't think of two people willing to do anything more for camera time.  Just when I feel bad for Kasey, he does something like sing for Vienna, and my sympathy is checked.

Really, I'm done now.  What did you think?  More commentary tomorrow after the brain cells flood back into my head.  That is, if they even exist anymore.
