Brad Womack will be back in all of his glory. Let's face it, there's not going to be too many other new shows starting in January worth watching. Now that Lost and 24, there are some big shoes to fill. The Husband and I have been working our DVR as the focus of our social life these days. Here are some of our favorites this fall:
1. Boardwalk Empire. This is by far and away, my new favorite show. Martin Scorcese's new drama is brilliant. Steve Buscemi is magnificant as Nucky Thompson, a real life politician and gangsta who ruled Atlantic City during the time of Prohibition. Check it out.
2. The Walking Dead. The Husband got me into this, because there is no other way I would voluntarily watch a gory show about zombies. One of the leading ladies on this show is Sarah from Prison Break, who I love, though I find her quite skinny and somewhat rigid in Walking Dead. The zombies themselves are horrifying and yet brilliant, but it's the quest for survival that gives this show its backbone.
3. Dexter. A huge Michael C. Hall fan from his days on Six Feet Under, Dexter is still the serial killer you learn to love. I'm loving his relationship with Lumen this season, played by Julia Stiles.
4. The Office. I'm terribly sad that this is the last season of The Office, but the story lines are getting crazier by the episode. Dwight still manages to go above and beyond insane at every opportunity, which makes it still worth the effort to watch.
Other favorites: Friday Night Lights, Mad Men, The Event, Jersey Shore, Vampire Diaries.
