Ok, DWTS fans. I finally got around to watching last week's show. I know I'm a little late, but here's what I think: I am totally hooked!
First off, I'm completely horrified that Shawn Johnson has a stalker. That is just completely creepy. What is wrong with people?? Who would want to cause her harm? She's the cutest thing since golden retriever puppies.
Some random thoughts about last Monday's show:
Denise Richards looks like she's 25, which is quite odd because she's in her 40s, right? With two girls. I know very few 40 something women that have hair as long as hers and she wears it like an 18 year old would. Also, her eyebrows are a bit on the bushy side for my taste, but she is definitely an attractive woman. She got the boot this week, so I guess America is not that into her.
Holly M is getting difficult to take. She's like blonde bimbo Barbie and her giggle is close to nails on a blackboard. I always think her chest is going to come out of her outfits. She must be next to go if that old man with the beard doesn't go first.
Gill - the gorgeous Sex and The City hunk is absolutely en fuego. Seriously - you can feel the monitor on my flat screen heating up - he's amazing! I think he's in first place now and there's no doubt why. He must have taken up dancing at some point in his career. It's almost not fair.
Julianne and Wicks are in it to win. Again, Barbie and Ken were much improved from last week. I actually think Julianne looks her best when she's not wearing too much makeup and when her hair is pulled back in the dance studio. She doesn't need to do much. I thought she was going to cry last week when they criticized her, so I'm glad the judges liked their performance better this week.
Steve-O was back in action this week. I think him and Lacey have great chemistry and would not be surprised if they end up dating after the season. He's not the most graceful dancer to watch, but I like his personality.
Jewel's husband, forgot his name, seems nice enough, but I don't think he did too well this week.
The Taylor athlete guy - I thought was awesome! He totally has rhythm and I liked watching him shake his thing. Very impressed with him.
Lil Kim and Derek Hough looked like two Chiquita bananas. I still can NOT stand Derek - and feel like he got the shallow end of the gene pool in the looks department. I mean - his sister is drop dead gorgeous and he's very feminine and dresses the part. I do not believe for one minute that he is dating the foreign exchange student from American Pie. But if they do live together, at least they could share clothes.
Absolutely love Shawn Johnson - she was so completely effortless, and two judges mentioned that she was "floating" - I completely agree. She was dressed in a far more flattering style this week, so I was happy for her.
The Old Guy - not sure what his name is - hurt himself during dance rehearsal and it looked like he wasn't going to make it. He did perform this week, but probably should have taken a bow out this season. Him or Holly are next out the door.
There is a HUGE rift between the talented and not so talented competitors this season. It makes it easy to see who will stay and who will go.
Last, but not least, let's talk about Melissa. I loved that they filmed her going back to Dallas to clear out her office. Looks like she's got a huge fan club out there. I would LOVE to go clear out my office because I've moved on to bigger and better things (The Bachelor and now DWTS). She's really living the dream.
Melissa's performance was once again amazing. She looked much better this week - less lioness, more elegant and this one of the few times we've seen her with her hair down as opposed to the big poof in the front and a pony tail. Her makeup looked great too. I loved the mauve/lavendar coloring for her. She is still incorporating her high leg kicks - straight from her ballet skills. Very impressive.
