What Getting Laid Off Can Do For You

I just got the message - The Boyfriend and I will be attending a wedding fashion event tonight where Get Married (from www.getmarried.com) will be. They have invited us to attend - and so this means I will get to meet DeAnna Pappas. Pretty crazy considering that up until a couple months ago, I was a lawyer in the financial services industry working on regulatory issues. Kind of the complete opposite of what I'm doing tonight. I'm going with it. I wonder how many men will be at this event - but The Boyfriend and I will podcast about it when we get back so you can hear both of our perspectives. Cross your fingers I don't trip and fall in front of these people. Now the biggest questions is - what do I wear to something like this? I'm in a business suit right now. Perhaps I should I buy a bridal gown on my lunch hour? Any suggestions??
