Heidi & Spencer Get Married

Wow, lots of marriages in Hollywood this weekend. We had Spencer and Heidi (more on that in a bit) and Salma Hayek and her man French billionaire François-Henri Pinault (http://www.people.com/people/gallery/0,,20274691,00.html who tied the knot in Venice, Italy. How beautiful must that wedding have been???! Salma looks like a queen).

Here are some photos from Speidi's wedding in case you are REALLY bored:

I just can't understand how Heidi could go through with this wedding. Not that MTV gives us the full picture of their real relationship (we only see them fighting and him being a jerk), but there must be something other than what we as viewers see. Because from what we have seen, no rational person could possibly want to marry him. Here's why:

1. Spencer has insulted, been obnoxious to and completely disrespectful to Heidi's mother, Darlene. When her name comes in conversation, Spencer is really rude about her. Heidi's mother has nothing but her daughter's best interests at heart. If Spencer really loved Heidi, he would respect that and do what he could to smoothe things over with Heidi's mother. Instead, Heidi and her mother have grown apart over him.

2. Spencer could not be ruder to Heidi's sister, Holly, after Holly moves to California and stays with them while she is finding a place. Given, it must be very annoying to have a third party in your apartment, but it's Heidi's SISTER, not some random person crashing on their couch. He is really rude to her.

3. If Spencer was really into Heidi - he would understand how difficult not being friends with LC has been for her. He would put his personal feelings aside and encourage her to rekindle the friendship. He might even apologize to LC (which we have seen in the coming attractions, but not sure if she will accept his apology. She didn't come to the wedding, so it couldn't have done too much to help things), but he would have to really make an assertive effort to take Heidi's best interests into heart. She needs good girl friends too, not just him 100% of the time.

4. Spencer is completely rude to his sister, all of time. Clearly his sister is extremely insecure and a lost soul. Spencer should be looking out for her, but he is always mean to her.

5. Why on EARTH would Heidi forgive him for the things he said to that terrible bartender, Stacie?? Or when she went home to Crested Butte, Colorado, and comes home, she confronts him at a bar with Stacie and a group of her friends. Spencer doesn't apologize - he just asks Heidi to join them. How humiliating?!! That would have been way beyond the realm of forgiveness in my book.

6. Spencer keeps talking about all the things he has "given up" to be with Heidi - his friends, going out, his freedom, etc. If he feels like that, what business does he have getting married?

This is a disaster waiting to happen. I only hope that they end this silly relationship before they have any offspring.
